A must for chocolate lovers

The Project Chocolat experience brings new meaning to every bite of chocolate. The tour was fantastic, making a chocolate bar was fun and the lunch was delicious. An excellent 3 hr experience.
A fun and educational experience!

My wife and I did the "Tree to Bar" experience, coming in with very little knowledge on the chocolate growing/making process, and we left with a lot more information. We grafted a cocoa plant baby (Hello, Simon the Diamond!), and learned how the cocoa bean goes from a fruit on a tree to a chocolate bar. By the end, we had made our very own chocolate bar. Would recommend this to anyone who finds themselves on the beautiful island of St. Lucia!

Special mention to Vernice, our tour guide, who was both exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable on the subject.
Really great day!

Xystus was our guide and was awesome. Gave us a very informative tour round the grounds and got us involved all the activities on the tour. Chocolate making was a lot of fun to finish off the tour.

We have just gotten back to our villa after a trip to Project Chocolat at Hotel Chocolat.

My wife and I had a blast! Not only was the tour informative and fun (we named our Sapling graft Horatio), it was also educational.

The process of making our individual chocolate bar was challenging; it makes you appreciate how much goes into making a single bar. Well worth it! . We picked up our chocolate bar afterwards, and it MIGHT survive the trip home as a souvenir.

The food was no doubt delicious. Each dish had a hint of cacao (not Chocolate) and it gave it unique tasty flavors. We are now considering staying at Hotel Chocolat should we return to Saint Lucia.

The only downside to our visit, was that the gift shop was not fully open today. There was a health fair held there today for locals. This is by no means a reason to lower our score. If anything it shows how they care for their local community.

Fantastic event!

This place was an amazing find to explore on St Lucia..The tour guides were amazing and knowledgeable about the entire estate and its contents. Best part of the tour was making your very own chocolate bar..
Great experience but a free cocktail wools have been nice!

This was a great experience with fantastic staff, great knowledge and a real insight into the work of HC and great to hear about the sustainability and support for local farmers. The cost is quite high for a 2 hour experience and you’re not really ready for lunch at 11… also think for the cost a free cocktail would be a nice touch. Worth going for sure but it is expensive !
Worth doing but expensive

Very much enjoyed the experience. The tour was rather rushed & would have liked to see more of the estate & had time in it. Making the chocolate was fun if not a lot of effort.
The food was tasty, although the burger is tiny - plantain chips are very tough. Roti was a highlight.
All that effort to end up with a random persons chocolate at the end of the day…a real letdown

We took this tour as part of a day long tour organised by Island Routes which included a catamaran trip from Castries to Project Chocolat, the mud baths, snorkelling and the sunset cruise back. We had loved the whole day until the very end when we came to collect out chocolate bars that we had hand crafted ourselves. Mine was missing and so I had the random bar that was left over. The whole point of this trip ( for me anyway) was to visit Project chocolat and participate in the bean to bar experience and make my own chocolate. So to get to the end of the day and end up with some random bar that may have been mine or could have been anyone else’s was extremely disappointing. Who can say whether this was the fault of Project Chocolat’s trainee who collected in the bars and did not name them correctly or the tour group Island Routes? I attach photos of my finished bar and the one I received at the end of the day. After many years of buying the products and dreaming of a chance to visit the Rabot Estate, this was such a disappointing end to a day which we had really enjoyed. I feel like I paid all that money to basically end up with a random bar of chocolate made by someone else who had dipped their fingers in it etc . All the more galling that we spent $125 in the gift shop at the estate too
Good tour, food not worth the money!

The seedling and rain forest walk was excellent. Very enjoyable. The making of the chocolate bar was hard work but fun. The food was awful, I notified of a dietary requirement when booking and no provisions were made at all. Don’t waste the extra on the food part!
